1991 Volvo 240, Mileage: 206,946 + I bought this Volvo in 2013 for a project car to rebuild with my son. I am a licensed ASE mechanic ASE-1750-3462, the car was a little beat, neglected not abused. We basically stripped it to rebuild the :2014 Rebuild Engine: new rings, rod & main bearings, connecting rod wrist pin bushings, seals, gaskets, valve guides, valves & seals, belts, water pump.Transmission rear bushing, center bearing, ujoints.Body: new shocks f&r, brake rotors, calipers, pads, steering u joint, steering lock, control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod endsThe car was painted with Eastwood Urethane, British Racing Green with a satin finish. 2016: installed: new IPD sport springs (which lowered the car) and heavy duty sway bars front & rear. A remanufactured steering rack. Tach, voltage gauge, temp gauge, drivers sport seat. 2018, Nov/Dec: The car was sitting for 6 months so to get it up to speed to sell we replaced:$1,100 new parts - new front rotors, new brake pads, new exhaust system back from the converted, new tires in front, good tires in rear, new rear shocks, new neutral/safety switch, new ignition switch, right ball joint, right rear lower control arm bushing. Has good spare and 2 fair snow tires.New Mass inspection sticker - 12/2019 The car comes with many used but good parts, see photos. Cons: the body had some rough spots which were patched up, the auto door locks have been disconnected, the antenna has been off since we got the car, the overdrive solenoid has been removed with a bypass plate installed.All the brake backing/dust plates are rotted and never replaced. Some scratches in paint.Odometer stopped working in 2015? Sold As Is.The sale requires a $500.00 deposit within 48 hours of the sale agreement. Deposits can be made by cash or cashier check. Full payment is to be received within 7 days from the end of the auction. Full payment is due before vehicle delivery. 1992 Volvo sedan with the 2.3L 4 cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. 99,275 miles (odometer stopped working about 300 miles ago). One owner with a clean Carfax and no accidents. It has power windows, an AM/FM/tape radio, and a rear window defroster. The interior is in good condition and clean with no rips or smells. It has never been smoked in. The seats are in great condition. The exterior is also in good condition with no rot or major body damage. The undercarriage is very clean with no rust. This car runs and drives very well. The engine starts easily, idles smoothly, and has plenty of power. There are no knocks, noises, hesitations, or issues. The transmission shifts smoothly through all of the gears. The brakes stop well and the emergency brake works. It drives nicely on the highway at 75 MPH with no shakes, rattles, or issues. It has been well maintained throughout its life. Just did four brand new tires and the exhaust system was recently replaced. The original owner’s manual is included as well as spare keys. This is a hard to find clean 240 sedan that is ready to go. It does have some wear. The clear coat is peeling on the hood, trunk lid, and a little bit on the roof (pictured). There are some scratches, mainly on the passenger side doors (pictured). The odometer stopped working and might need a new odometer gear. The temperature gauge does not work. The speedometer, fuel gauge, and clock all work well. The ABS light is on, but it still stops perfectly. The radio has static and needs a new antenna. A few marker lights and the right front turn signal do not work (seem to need new bulb sockets). The remainder is due within 7 days of the auction end. The remainder is to be paid in cash, wire transfer, or certified bank check only, no exceptions. This is due to the high Pay-Pal fees on vehicle sales. The vehicle must be picked up within 7 days unless prior arrangements are made. If the vehicle is left here longer than the 7 days without other arrangements made, it will be subject to a $20 per day storage fee. The mileage may vary slightly due to the vehicle being test driven throughout the auction. We do not charge any documentation fees, so there are no added costs after the auction. We reserve the right to end an auction at anytime due to the vehicle being for sale locally. We will entertain reasonable offers to end the auction early.
